Het reguliere stroomnet in Ede is uitgevallen. De datacenters draaien op noodstroomvoorziening. Na de schakeling naar de noodstroomvoorziening is gebleken dat een aantal downflowunits in BIT-2A niet goed draait. Medewerkers hebben dit in onderzoek. Als gevolg van deze storing loopt de temperatuur in BIT-2A beperkt op.

Update geplaatst om 11.08 Na het wegvallen van netspanning schakelen alle systemen automatisch naar aggregaatspanning. Eén van de drie velden schakelde echter niet correct waardoor één derde van de downflowunits niet gevoed werd. Nadat er handmatig geschakeld werd, waren alle downflowunits weer in bedrijf en liep de temperatuur weer terug. De netspanning viel rond 10.25 uur weg, rond 10.42 uur is er handmatig geschakeld. De leverancier is ingeschakeld om op locatie de onjuiste schakeling verder te onderzoeken.

The powergrid in Ede has failed. As a result the datacenters run on emergency power. After the failover to emergency power some of the down flow units in BIT-2A did not start up correctly. This resulted in a limited temperature increse in BIT-2A. BIT engineers are investigating the incident.

Update placed at 11:16 In case losing the powergrid, all systems should automatically switch to emergency power. One of three fields did not switch correctly, which resulted in unavailability of one third of the down flow units. After manually overriding all down flow units were active and temperature in BIT-2A dropped. The powergrid was lost at 10:25 hrs and at 10:42 hrs the manual switch was made. The supplier has been requested to investigate the cause of the failing automated switch.
